SCULPTING INTERIORS, CRAFTING FURNITURES, CURATING DESIGNS.
MATERIALS
At Garcé Dimofski, materials are the starting point of every design. We work primarily with natural, durable, and responsibly sourced materials: solid woods, stones, metals, ceramics, and hand-crafted textiles, chosen for their integrity, longevity, and expressive potential. Each piece is conceived to reveal the character of its material rather than conceal it, embracing grain, weight, texture, and hand-applied finishes as essential components of the design. Our approach aims to minimise waste and overproduction, favouring small-batch manufacturing and made-to-order processes whenever possible.
CRAFT & PRODUCTION
Our production is grounded in craftsmanship.
Every piece in the Essentials collection is made in Portugal in close collaboration with local artisans, workshops, and independent makers who uphold traditional techniques—woodworking, metalwork, upholstery, lacquer, stone carving—passed down through generations. By producing locally, we maintain direct dialogue with artisans, ensure quality at every step, and reduce unnecessary transport and resources. Certain sculptural or specialised techniques may occasionally require partners abroad, but we always collaborate with responsible workshops aligned with our standards of craft and material care.
DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
Across furniture, interiors, and curated works, Garcé Dimofski follows a material-driven, architectural approach.
Forms are reduced to their essence, proportions are carefully measured, and atmospheres are shaped through balance, light, and tactility. We design for longevity, visually, structurally, and emotionally, creating pieces that age with dignity, acquire patina, and remain relevant across time and context.
