Galith chair by Minjae Kim is hand carved from pine and fir, stained and lacquered, and defined by a ceramic insert integrated into the back. The piece explores a dialogue between materials, with wood shaped through gesture and structure, contrasted by the density and tactile presence of ceramic.
Its form balances precision and irregularity, allowing light to interact subtly with its surfaces and finishes. Each chair is unique, with slight variations in shape, texture, and tone reflecting its handmade process and material sensitivity.
