This exceptional and rare armchair was designed by Finnish architect Marta Blomstedt for the Hotel Aulanko in Hameenlinna, Finland c1938. A small amount of chairs were produced for the hotel with tubular steel feet. Subsequently more chairs were produced by cabinetmaker Arvo Laine for the domestic market in Finland.
